Remembering the 1974 Invasion of Cyprus by Turkey

Commemorative Events, 2024

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, an appalling milestone which serves as a reminder that the ongoing occupation of more than one third of Cyprus has been ongoing for far too long.

To mark this sombre occasion ΣEKA Victoria organised a rally in the heart of Melbourne:

Rally for Cyprus in Federation Square, Melbourne, 21 July 2024

The Turkish invasion of Cyprus was outright theft!

“ ...the Turkish invasion of Cyprus is not even a disputed matter. It was certainly not some understandable territorial gain made after aggressive war waged by Greece. It was outright theft—an annexation: state terrorism. The entire international community recognizes it as such.” (Douglas Murray)
